Add a device to your Home Brain

Pairing links a device to your Home Brain. You only do it once for each device.

1. On the Home Brain, open Devices and click Show a pairing code. You will see 8 letters and numbers.
2. On the new device, open Create Spot and pick This is my laptop.
3. Pick your Home Brain from the list. If it isn't there, see Can't find my Home Brain.
4. Type the code. It works once and lasts 5 minutes.

That's it. From now on, changes copy both ways whenever both are on your home network.

Good to know

• The code never travels over your network. Each side proves it knows the code without sending it.
• To remove a device, open Devices on either one and click Unpair.
• If a page changed on both devices while they were apart, both versions are kept. The Notebook tab shows them side by side so you can keep one.
