How Create Spot works
There are two parts: a Home Brain that stays at home, and the Create Spot app on the devices you carry.
The Home Brain
A PC at home that stays on. It keeps the main copy of your notebook and runs a local AI, so your questions are answered at home, not in someone else's cloud.
Your devices
Laptops, phones and tablets each keep their own copy of the notebook. When you are home, changes copy both ways in a few seconds. When you are out, they wait and catch up later.
What stays at home
Every page, photo and answer. The devices talk to the Home Brain over your own network, with a private lock only your devices hold. Nothing is opened on your router.
Pairing is simple
The Home Brain shows an 8-letter code. Type it on the new device and you are done. The code works once and lasts 5 minutes.
Spots, your guide
Spots is the guide built into the app. It asks a few simple questions to help you get started, and suggests what to write down next.
Ask between people
Share some pages with family or coworkers. They can ask your Home Brain a question by email and get an answer from what you chose to share. If it isn't sure, it asks you.
