Install Create Spot on Windows

You need Windows 10 or 11, on a PC with an Intel or AMD processor.

1. Download the Windows installer from the download page.
2. Open the file. It ends in -setup.exe.
3. Windows may say it protected your PC. Click More info, then Run anyway. This happens because the app is new, not because something is wrong.
4. When Windows asks if the app may make changes, click Yes. The app asks this once, so your other devices at home can reach it.
5. Click through the installer. Create Spot opens when it is done.

Set your Wi-Fi to Private

Your other devices can only find this PC if Windows treats your home network as private.

1. Open Settings, then Network & internet.
2. Click your Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
3. Under Network profile type, pick Private network.
